Assignment: 8. Project: Outline
Correct and complete the following outline based on the information about sheep in the previous OW lesson and the outline rules for capitalization and formatting. The main ideas are the Roman numerals. These have been given to you. Complete the outline by correctly adding capital letters to the words in the main ideas that need to be capitalized (follow the rule). Then add the subtopics in the correct order and format.
I. Mother sheep have a homing instinct.
A. Herd will follow the ewes.
B. Herd has a need to flock together.
II. Mother sheep will adopt an orphaned lamb.
A.
B.
III. Sheep are incapable of self-protection.
A.
B.
C.
Please type out the COMPLETE OUTLINE in a Word document. Submit the file in the file area at the bottom of the project page.
Remember to indent when you add the subtopics being sure to follow proper outline form. It should look like the example above with the blank points filled in correctly.
Type the outline in a word document being sure to fill in the missing information. (Refer to the article to find the subpoints.) Remember that when you are outlining you must capitalize each main word of each topic and each first word of the subtopics. Remember to use proper indenting as well. :)
*First concentrate on the main points (I. II. III.). These were provided, but need corrected by capitalizing each main word of each main topic. So YOUR job here is to correct the three main topics by capitalizing them correctly and typing them in an outline using Pages (or a word document). :)
*THEN concentrate on the subtopics. Complete the outline by adding subtopics for the capital letters A. B., A. B., and A. B. C. Do not break it down any farther. The first two were provided as an example to show you how to do it so you just need to add them in your outline correctly. For the second main point (II.) name the two ways lambs are disguised according to the article. These will be the subpoints. Be sure to capitalize the first word in each one.
A. Lamb may...
B. Talcum powder can...
For the third main point name the three ways from the article that show lambs are not incapable of self protection.
A. They may...
B. They may...
C. They may...
