Project: 3 Fire Escape -
Ask your parents to schedule a family meeting.
Discuss the escape routes with every member of the household.
Agree on a meeting place outside your home where all members of the family agree to meet in the case of a fire. Agree to wait for the fire department. Select a meeting place that will not be in the way of the fire fighters.
Plan to practice your escape route at least twice a year. Pick significant days to help you remember to practice.
SHARE that info with me by typing it in the OW box after you discuss it with your family. Draw a floor plan of your home, marking 2 ways out of every room--especially bedrooms. (Use Photo Booth to take a good picture of your floor plan.) Attach the picture in the file area on the OW project page. When all this is done then submit the assignment to be graded.

Assignment: 5. Project: Safety Check
Take time to read through the check list on this assignment. Not everything will apply to your home necessarily. After completion of your checklist, write a summary (note) that includes the hazards that you found in your home. State whether you were able to correct them and how you did this. Include in your note the possible solutions for correcting hazards that you were unable to correct. Usually there are things we can improve on to make our home safer. Write about what things you had to take care of or still need to do, and how you plan to do them. :)
