Experiment: Taste Test
Follow the directions on the OW page to complete the experiment.
- Begin with two glasses of water and two glasses of vinegar. You will also need four pieces of hard candy (all the same). You will need to record the time that you place each candy in each of the cups. Set the experiment up as directed in OW.
- You will make a prediction or a guess to how you will think this will turn out. Record your guess in the OW box as you begin the experiment. Remember you cannot change your prediction once you begin the experiment.
- Observe the cups and candies for one class period (45 minutes). Look to see which candy broke down the fastest out of all four?
- Then write a paragraph explaining what happened and how this compares to your teeth and stomach. What have you discovered? :)
