PROJECT: WRITING A BOOK REPORT
After you read a book, sometimes your teacher will ask you to report, or tell, about the book. We write a book report to tell others what we have learned from the book. The book report can be written or oral—that is, told out loud. A written book report can be written on a piece of paper or typed on the computer.
The report should tell these things:
1. the name of the book
2. the name of the author (the person who wrote it)
3. the number of pages
4. the name of the illustrator (the person who drew the pictures)
5. a short retelling of the story
6. why you did or did not like the book
Write a report about a book you have read. Tell what you learned from the book.
Follow the steps above.
